University of Iowa head wrestling coach Tom Brands will be throwing out the first pitch for Wednesday’s double-header against the University of Illinois. The game is set for 5 p.m. at Pearl Field in Iowa City.

BRANDS TO THROW OUT FIRST PITCH
IOWA CITY – University of Iowa wrestling Head Coach Tom Brands will throw out the first pitch before game one of Wednesday’s softball doubleheader against Illinois, starting at 5 p.m.
Brands recently led the Hawkeye wrestling team to its second-consecutive national championship, and its 22nd title overall. Brands also guided Iowa to Big Ten regular season and team titles for the second year in a row, earning Big Ten Coach of the Year honors.
The Hawkeyes travel to No. 15 Ohio State this weekend for a two-game series before returning to Pearl Field to take on the Fighting Illini. Wednesday’s doubleheader will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network (HD).
